Restaurant & Business Terms

Effective: August 8, 2026Last updated: August 8, 2026

These Restaurant & Business Terms ("Business Terms") apply to restaurants, businesses, owners, managers, employees, representatives, and other authorized persons who claim, manage, or use a restaurant or business profile on Jigu Bites.

They form part of the agreement between Jigu Bites and the relevant business and should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Reviews & Content Policy.

Jigu Bites is currently operated by its founders and is initially focused on businesses and users in Nepal.

1. Jigu Bites Business Profiles

Jigu Bites may provide restaurant and business profiles containing information such as business name, address, contact information, opening hours, menu information, photos, ratings, reviews, posts, promotions, and other business information. A restaurant profile may exist on Jigu Bites even if the restaurant has not claimed it. A business claiming its profile does not automatically mean that Jigu Bites guarantees or endorses every piece of information associated with that business.

2. Claiming a Business

An authorized representative may request to claim a restaurant or business profile. The person making the claim must have legitimate authority to represent the business. Jigu Bites may request information or documentation to verify the claim, including business registration documents, ownership documents, management information, business contact information, photographs, videos, and other reasonable verification information. The information requested may change depending on the business and circumstances.

3. Verification Does Not Guarantee Ownership

Jigu Bites may approve a business claim after reviewing available information. However, verification is an administrative platform process and should not be interpreted as a legal guarantee that the claimant owns the business, has unlimited authority, that every document submitted is genuine, or that every business detail is accurate. Businesses remain responsible for ensuring that their representatives have appropriate authority.

4. False Business Claims

You must not attempt to claim a restaurant or business that you are not authorized to represent. Submitting false documents, misleading information, or fraudulent claims may result in rejection of the claim, removal of verification, suspension or termination of the account, restriction of business access, or other appropriate action. Where appropriate or legally required, serious fraudulent activity may be reported to relevant authorities.

5. Business Account Responsibilities

Businesses are responsible for activity performed through their business accounts. Businesses must protect login credentials, grant access only to authorized representatives, maintain accurate business information, remove former employees promptly, review employee permissions, and notify Jigu Bites of unauthorized access where appropriate.

6. Employee Access

A verified business may be able to add employees or other representatives. Available roles and permissions may include the ability to edit business information, upload photographs, create posts, respond to reviews, manage promotions, and access other selected business tools. Businesses are responsible for determining who receives access. The exact permissions available may change as Jigu Bites develops.

7. Employee Permissions

Business administrators should provide employees only the permissions they need. Businesses should remove access when an employee leaves the business, changes roles, no longer requires access, or is no longer authorized to represent the business. Jigu Bites may restrict or revoke employee access where reasonably necessary for security or platform integrity.

8. Accurate Business Information

Businesses are responsible for keeping their information reasonably accurate, including name, address, telephone number, website, opening hours, menu, prices, services, facilities, photos, promotions, and business description. If information changes, the business should update the profile as soon as reasonably practical.

Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of menus, prices, and other commercial information they submit. Prices and availability may change. Jigu Bites does not guarantee that a restaurant will honor information displayed on the platform where that information has changed or was supplied incorrectly. Restaurants should update information promptly.

10. Restaurant Posts

Verified businesses may be permitted to create posts about new dishes, restaurant updates, events, promotions, announcements, and other relevant business content. Posts must comply with these Business Terms, Community Guidelines, Reviews & Content Policy, and applicable law.

11. Restaurant Photos and Media

Businesses may upload photographs and, when available, videos. Businesses represent that they have the necessary rights and permissions to upload the content. Businesses must not upload copyrighted material without permission, misleading photographs, private customer information, content belonging to another business without authorization, illegal content, or malicious material. Jigu Bites may remove content that violates our policies.

12. Restaurant Responses to Reviews

Verified businesses may respond publicly to customer reviews. Responses should be professional, relevant, respectful, and accurate where possible. Businesses must not use responses to threaten customers, harass reviewers, publish private customer information, retaliate against customers, manipulate reviews, or encourage others to attack reviewers.

13. Negative Reviews

Businesses should understand that negative reviews are part of an independent review platform. A negative review does not automatically constitute a policy violation. Businesses may respond to the review, explain their position, correct factual errors, report potential policy violations, or request review of potentially fraudulent content. Businesses may not use their Jigu Bites account to retaliate against customers.

14. No Payment for Review Removal

Jigu Bites does not sell the removal of genuine negative reviews. Purchasing advertising, promoted placement, business subscriptions, or other paid services does not provide a right to remove legitimate reviews. A review may be removed when it violates applicable Jigu Bites policies or applicable law.

15. Review Manipulation

Businesses must not manipulate their ratings or reviews. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Paying for positive reviews or negative reviews of competitors.
  • Creating fake customer accounts or asking employees or friends to create fake reviews.
  • Threatening customers over reviews.
  • Offering benefits specifically in exchange for positive ratings.
  • Coordinating review campaigns or attempting to artificially influence restaurant rankings.

16. Incentives and Honest Reviews

Businesses may provide legitimate incentives for customers to share their experiences where permitted by applicable law. However, incentives must not be conditional upon a positive review, a specific rating, removing a negative review, or changing an honest opinion. Businesses must comply with applicable disclosure requirements. Jigu Bites may restrict or remove promotional campaigns that appear designed to manipulate reviews.

17. Promotions

Businesses may be able to create promotions through Jigu Bites, including discounts, special offers, limited-time promotions, events, and other commercial offers. Businesses are responsible for accuracy, eligibility requirements, dates, availability, terms, and fulfillment. Businesses must not publish misleading promotions.

Jigu Bites may offer businesses paid promotional placement in search results, restaurant discovery, feeds, maps, recommendations, restaurant listings, and other parts of the Services. Promotional placement may be subject to payment, campaign duration, eligibility requirements, platform policies, available inventory, and other commercial terms.

19. Promotion Does Not Guarantee Results

Purchasing promotional placement does not guarantee a specific number of views, customers, followers, positive reviews or ratings, increased revenue, a particular ranking, or a particular business outcome. Restaurant performance depends on many factors outside Jigu Bites' control.

Where applicable, paid promotional content may be identified as sponsored, promoted, advertisement, or another appropriate designation. Jigu Bites may determine how sponsored content is displayed in accordance with applicable law and platform design.

21. Business Payments

Jigu Bites may offer paid services to businesses, including promoted placement, advertising, premium business features, analytics, subscription services, and other tools. Pricing and applicable terms may be presented before purchase. Businesses are responsible for providing accurate payment and billing information. Payments may be processed by Jigu Bites or third-party payment providers.

22. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund and cancellation terms may vary depending on the particular paid service and may be displayed during checkout, on the relevant service page, in an order confirmation, in a subscription agreement, or through another applicable commercial notice. Where no specific refund terms are provided, applicable law will govern.

23. Taxes and Business Obligations

Businesses are responsible for determining and fulfilling their own tax, licensing, registration, employment, food-safety, consumer-protection, and other legal obligations. Jigu Bites does not act as the business's legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory advisor.

24. Restaurant Licenses and Legal Compliance

Businesses are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses, registrations, permits, approvals, and authorizations required to operate their businesses, including requirements relating to food safety, restaurant operations, alcohol where applicable, employment, tax, advertising, consumer protection, local government requirements, and other applicable regulations. Jigu Bites does not guarantee that a business is legally permitted to operate merely because it has a Jigu Bites profile.

25. Food Safety and Customer Safety

Restaurants remain responsible for the safety and quality of the food and services they provide. Restaurants should accurately communicate relevant information about ingredients, allergens, dietary options, food preparation, prices, and other material information. Customers with allergies or other safety concerns should confirm information directly with the restaurant. Jigu Bites is a discovery and review platform and does not control restaurant food preparation.

26. Customer Information

Businesses may receive certain information through legitimate use of Jigu Bites business features. Businesses must use customer information only for legitimate purposes, respect customer privacy, protect customer information, avoid unauthorized disclosure, not sell customer information obtained through Jigu Bites unless expressly permitted by applicable law and the relevant agreement, and follow applicable privacy and data-protection requirements. Businesses must not use Jigu Bites to obtain customer information for unrelated or abusive purposes.

27. Private Messages and Customer Communications

If Jigu Bites provides communication functionality between restaurants and users, businesses must use it responsibly. Businesses must not spam or harass customers, send malicious links, request unnecessary sensitive information, sell or share customer information improperly, or continue contacting customers after an appropriate request to stop.

28. Customer Reviews and Privacy

Businesses must not publicly disclose information that a customer has provided privately unless they have an appropriate legal basis or authorization. For example, a business response should not reveal a customer's private phone number, email address, home address, private messages, sensitive personal information, or confidential transaction information. A business may respond to a public review without exposing private customer information.

29. Intellectual Property

Businesses must own or have appropriate rights to content they upload, including logos, restaurant photographs, menu photographs, videos, promotional graphics, written descriptions, and brand materials. By uploading business content, the business grants Jigu Bites the rights reasonably necessary to operate, display, distribute, promote, and market the content through the Services. The business retains ownership of its intellectual property unless otherwise agreed.

30. Business Branding

Businesses must not use Jigu Bites branding in a way that falsely suggests an official partnership, government endorsement, ownership of Jigu Bites, or other unauthorized relationships. Jigu Bites may provide approved promotional materials or branding guidelines in the future.

31. Business Account Security

Businesses are responsible for securing their business accounts. If a business believes its account has been compromised, it should promptly contact: jigubites@gmail.com. Jigu Bites may temporarily restrict access while investigating a suspected compromise.

32. Business Verification Removal

Jigu Bites may remove or suspend verification where verification information was false, ownership or authority changes, the business account is compromised, the representative is no longer authorized, fraud is suspected, the business violates platform policies, or the business otherwise presents a significant platform or security risk. A business may be asked to complete verification again.

33. Business Suspension or Termination

Jigu Bites may restrict or terminate business access when reasonably necessary because of fraud, review manipulation, abuse, illegal activity, security risks, repeated policy violations, false business claims, misuse of customer information, harassment, or other serious misconduct. Where appropriate, Jigu Bites may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue. However, immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect users, businesses, or the Services.

34. Business Content Removal

Jigu Bites may remove or restrict business content that violates these Terms, is misleading, infringes rights, contains prohibited material, manipulates reviews, contains fraudulent information, creates security or safety concerns, or violates applicable law. Removing business content does not necessarily mean that the entire business profile will be removed.

35. Business Disputes

Businesses may contact Jigu Bites regarding business ownership, verification, reviews, content, promotions, payments, account access, and other platform issues. Businesses should provide relevant information and evidence when submitting a dispute.

36. Restaurant Profile Ownership

A Jigu Bites business profile is a platform representation of a business. Claiming the profile gives an authorized representative management capabilities; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying business name, trademarks, photographs, or other intellectual property to Jigu Bites. Businesses retain their underlying rights subject to the licenses granted to Jigu Bites.

37. No Guarantee of Business Results

Jigu Bites does not guarantee that using the Services will increase sales, customers, ratings, followers, reservations, or visibility, produce a particular return on advertising, or improve business reputation. Jigu Bites provides tools and discovery services, not guaranteed business outcomes.

38. Platform Availability

Jigu Bites aims to provide reliable business tools. However, business features may occasionally become unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, infrastructure failures, security incidents, third-party failures, network problems, updates, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. Jigu Bites does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

39. Data and Business Analytics

Jigu Bites may provide businesses with analytics concerning their profile and content, such as views, engagement, followers, interactions, content performance, and promotion performance. Analytics may be estimated and may not represent exact real-world activity. Jigu Bites may change or discontinue analytics features.

40. Third-Party Services

Jigu Bites may integrate with third-party services for payments, maps, analytics, communications, advertising, authentication, hosting, and other functionality. Businesses may be required to comply with the relevant third party's terms when using those integrations.

41. Business Responsibilities for Employees

Businesses are responsible for ensuring that employees and representatives using their business account comply with these Business Terms, Jigu Bites Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Reviews & Content Policy, and applicable law. A business may be responsible for actions performed by representatives using business permissions, subject to applicable law.

42. Changes to Business Features

Jigu Bites may change business functionality over time, adding or removing features, modifying permissions, changing pricing, changing promotional systems, introducing subscriptions, analytics, or additional business tools, or modifying verification procedures. Where required, we may provide notice of material commercial changes.

43. Changes to These Business Terms

Jigu Bites may update these Business Terms from time to time because of new business features, new payment services, legal requirements, security changes, changes in business practices, international expansion, or changes to platform functionality. The "Last Updated" date will indicate the latest revision. Where appropriate, material changes may be communicated to business users.

44. Governing Law

Jigu Bites is initially operated in Nepal. To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Business Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes relating to these Business Terms will initially be subject to applicable courts and dispute-resolution mechanisms in Nepal, subject to mandatory rights provided by applicable law.
