1. About Jigu Bites

Jigu Bites is a restaurant discovery, rating, review, and social platform.

Depending on the features available, Jigu Bites may allow users to:

• Discover restaurants
• Search for restaurants
• View restaurant information
• Rate restaurants
• Write reviews
• Upload photographs and other content
• Create posts
• Follow users
• Follow restaurants
• Interact with other users
• Send private messages
• Save restaurants
• Create lists or collections
• Receive personalized recommendations
• Report or block other users
• Interact with restaurant businesses

Restaurants and authorized representatives may be able to:

• Claim restaurant profiles
• Verify business ownership or management
• Manage restaurant information
• Upload restaurant content
• Publish posts
• Respond to reviews
• Add authorized employees
• Purchase promotional placement
• Access other business features made available by Jigu Bites

Features may change over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the Services develop.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create and use a Jigu Bites account.

By using Jigu Bites, you represent that:

• You meet the minimum age requirement.
• The information you provide is reasonably accurate.
• You are legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.
• You are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.

If you are under the age required to independently consent to particular activities under applicable law, you are responsible for obtaining any consent that may be legally required from a parent or legal guardian. Different age and consent requirements may apply if Jigu Bites becomes available in other jurisdictions.

3. Creating an Account

Certain features require an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Use an email address that belongs to you or that you are authorized to use.
• Keep your account information reasonably up to date.
• Protect your login credentials.
• Not share your password unnecessarily.
• Not impersonate another person.
• Not create an account using another person's identity or email without authorization.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless the activity resulted from circumstances outside your reasonable control and you promptly notify us.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your account. You should:

• Use a strong password.
• Avoid sharing credentials.
• Secure the email account associated with Jigu Bites.
• Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Jigu Bites will not ask you to provide your password through an unsolicited message. If we reasonably believe an account has been compromised or is being used fraudulently, we may temporarily restrict access to protect the account, the Services, or other users.

5. Public and Private Profiles

Jigu Bites may allow you to choose between public and private profile settings. Private profile settings may restrict access to certain posts and social content.

However, restaurant reviews are public by design. Making your account private does not make your reviews private. Other users may therefore continue to see your published reviews and information associated with those reviews while your account remains active.

You are responsible for considering carefully what information you publish publicly.

6. User Content

You may submit content to Jigu Bites, including reviews, ratings, posts, photographs, comments, profile photographs, banner photographs, lists, recommendations, and other materials. Video functionality may be introduced in the future.

You retain ownership of intellectual-property rights that you have in your content. However, by submitting content to Jigu Bites, you grant Jigu Bites a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, communicate, format, adapt, modify where technically necessary, and otherwise use your content as reasonably necessary to:

• Operate the Services
• Provide the Services to users
• Display content to other users
• Improve the Services
• Develop features
• Moderate content
• Promote and market Jigu Bites
• Distribute Jigu Bites content through our channels

This license continues for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, subject to applicable law and our deletion and retention practices. You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content you upload.

7. Public User Content and Marketing

Jigu Bites may use publicly available user content for promotional and marketing purposes. For example, publicly available reviews or photographs may appear in Jigu Bites marketing campaigns, website materials, social media, promotional materials, advertising, or editorial communications.

Jigu Bites does not acquire ownership of your content merely because you upload it. You should not upload content that you do not have the right to use or that you do not want to be publicly available.

8. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews and ratings are an important part of Jigu Bites. When submitting a review, you must provide your genuine experience or opinion. You must not:

• Submit intentionally fake reviews.
• Review a restaurant you have no reasonable basis to review.
• Manipulate ratings.
• Coordinate fraudulent review campaigns.
• Threaten a restaurant in exchange for a favorable rating.
• Threaten a user because of a negative review.
• Submit reviews on behalf of another person without authorization.
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings.
• Use reviews to advertise unrelated products or services.
• Submit content designed primarily to spam the platform.
• Knowingly publish materially false factual accusations.
• Use reviews to harass, threaten, or intimidate others.

9. Incentivized Reviews

Restaurants may provide customers with discounts, complimentary food, services, or other benefits in connection with reviews where permitted by applicable law and Jigu Bites policies. However, an incentive must not be conditioned on providing a positive rating or favorable review. For example, a restaurant may not require:

“Give us five stars and receive a free meal.”

If you receive an incentive in connection with a review, you must disclose the relevant relationship or incentive when required by Jigu Bites. Jigu Bites may require additional disclosure or remove content where an incentive has not been appropriately disclosed.

10. Editing Reviews

Jigu Bites allows users to edit reviews after publication. An edited review may display an "Edited" indicator. Jigu Bites does not currently provide a public revision history for edited reviews. However, we may maintain technical records relating to content changes where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, moderation, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or platform integrity.

11. Restaurant Responses

Verified or claimed restaurants may be permitted to respond publicly to user reviews. Restaurant responses must comply with these Terms and the applicable Community and Reviews Policies. Restaurants must not use responses to:

• Harass or threaten reviewers
• Reveal private customer information
• Publish confidential information
• Retaliate against customers
• Manipulate reviews
• Misrepresent facts
• Circumvent moderation

Jigu Bites may remove or restrict restaurant responses that violate our policies.

12. Restaurant Claims and Verification

Restaurants may claim their business profiles. Claiming a restaurant does not automatically establish ownership. Jigu Bites may request documentation or other information to verify that a person is authorized to represent the business. Verification may involve business documents, photographs, contact information, ownership and management information, and other supporting information. Jigu Bites may approve, reject, suspend, or revoke a business verification. Verification does not mean that Jigu Bites guarantees every statement made by the business is accurate.

13. Restaurant Employee Access

A verified restaurant may be able to provide account access to employees or other authorized representatives. Business owners and administrators are responsible for managing those permissions. They must:

• Grant access only to authorized people.
• Assign appropriate permissions.
• Remove former employees or representatives.
• Protect business credentials.
• Monitor activity performed through business accounts.

Jigu Bites may restrict business-account access where we reasonably believe that an account is compromised, misused, or unauthorized.

14. Restaurant Information

Restaurants are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information they submit, including business name, address, contact details, opening hours, menu, prices, promotions, photos, descriptions, and business claims. Jigu Bites may allow users to suggest corrections or report inaccurate information. We may modify, remove, or restrict information where reasonably necessary to maintain platform accuracy or integrity.

15. Promoted and Sponsored Placement

Restaurants and businesses may be able to purchase promotional placement, which may appear in search, discovery, feeds, maps, recommendations, restaurant listings, and other areas of the Services. Where required or appropriate, paid promotional content will be identified as sponsored, promoted, or otherwise commercially influenced.

Purchasing promotion does not guarantee:

• Positive reviews or ratings
• Review removal or modification
• Suppression of genuine negative reviews
• Editorial endorsement
• Permanent organic ranking
• A particular number of views or customers

Jigu Bites does not sell the removal of genuine negative reviews.

16. Editorial Recommendations

Jigu Bites may independently create editorial content and recommendations, including restaurant guides, featured restaurants, lists, local recommendations, food guides, editorial articles, and other curated content. Editorial content may be based on user reviews, ratings, restaurant information, internal analysis, editorial judgment, and other factors. Editorial recommendations are not necessarily paid placements. Where content is commercially sponsored, we may identify it accordingly.

17. Following and Social Features

Jigu Bites may provide features allowing users to follow users and restaurants, receive updates, like or react to content, comment, share, save content, and send messages. You must use these features responsibly. You must not use social features to:

• Harass or spam users
• Threaten users
• Manipulate engagement
• Operate fake accounts
• Impersonate others
• Distribute malicious links
• Conduct scams
• Collect personal information without authorization

18. Blocking and Reporting

Users may be able to block other users. Jigu Bites may also provide reporting tools. You may report users, reviews, posts, restaurants, messages, photos, business claims, and other content or conduct. Reports may be reviewed by Jigu Bites or authorized service providers. Submitting a report does not guarantee that Jigu Bites will take a particular action. False, malicious, or abusive reporting may itself violate these Terms.

19. Private Messages

Where messaging is available, messages are intended for private communication between participants. You must not use messages to threaten, harass, or scam people, send malicious files or links, distribute illegal content, solicit passwords or sensitive information, or conduct fraudulent activity. Jigu Bites may access or review relevant communications when reasonably necessary to investigate reports, protect users, address security incidents, enforce policies, comply with law, or protect Jigu Bites and others.

20. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Jigu Bites to:

• Break the law or commit fraud.
• Impersonate another person or business.
• Access another person's account without authorization.
• Circumvent security controls or attempt unauthorized access to systems.
• Upload malware or malicious code.
• Interfere with the Services.
• Scrape or collect information through unauthorized automated methods.
• Reverse engineer the Services where prohibited by law.
• Manipulate ratings or engagement.
• Operate fraudulent accounts or spam users or restaurants.
• Harass, threaten, or publish another person's private information without authorization.
• Upload content that infringes another person's rights.
• Use the platform for illegal commercial activity.
• Circumvent account restrictions or bans.
• Abuse reporting or moderation systems.

Jigu Bites may take appropriate action where we reasonably believe prohibited conduct has occurred.

21. Intellectual Property

The Jigu Bites Services and their original components are owned by or licensed to Jigu Bites and may be protected by intellectual-property laws. This includes, where applicable, Jigu Bites branding, logos, trademarks, website and application design, software, interface elements, graphics, original editorial content, platform technology, and documentation.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or exploit Jigu Bites intellectual property except where permitted by these Terms, applicable law, or our express written permission. User-generated content remains subject to the rights and licenses described in these Terms.

22. Copyright and Third-Party Rights

You must not upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights. If you upload a photograph, video, review, logo, menu, or other material, you must have the necessary rights or permissions to do so. Jigu Bites may remove content where we reasonably believe it infringes another person's rights. We may establish additional procedures for intellectual-property complaints as the platform develops.

23. Accuracy of Information

Jigu Bites aims to provide useful and accurate restaurant information. However, restaurant information may change, including prices, opening hours, menus, locations, availability, and contact details. Some information may be supplied by restaurants, users, third parties, or automated systems. Accordingly, you should verify important information directly with the restaurant before relying on it. Jigu Bites does not guarantee that every restaurant listing or piece of information will always be accurate, complete, current, or error-free.

24. Third-Party Services and Links

Jigu Bites may integrate with or link to third-party services, including maps, authentication providers, analytics providers, payment providers, social platforms, hosting services, and other external services. Third-party services are generally governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Jigu Bites is not responsible for the independent practices, availability, security, or content of third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.

25. Payments

Jigu Bites may provide paid features or services, including restaurant promotion, advertising, subscriptions, business tools, premium features, and other paid services. Before completing a paid transaction, you may be provided with applicable pricing and payment information. Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize applicable charges. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, purchases may be subject to the cancellation, refund, and payment terms presented at the time of purchase.

26. Promotions and Offers

Restaurants may publish promotions or offers through Jigu Bites. Restaurants are responsible for the terms, availability, legality, and fulfillment of their own offers unless Jigu Bites explicitly states otherwise. Jigu Bites may remove promotions that are misleading, expired, unlawful, abusive, or inconsistent with our policies.

27. Recommendations and Ranking

Jigu Bites may use algorithms, editorial judgment, user activity, location, reviews, ratings, popularity, relevance, promotions, and other factors to determine how restaurants and content are displayed. A restaurant appearing higher or lower in search, discovery, recommendations, maps, feeds, or other areas does not necessarily mean that Jigu Bites considers it objectively better or worse. Paid promotional placement may affect where sponsored content appears and will be identified appropriately where required.

28. Moderation and Enforcement

Jigu Bites may review or moderate content and activity. We may take actions including:

• Removing content or restricting visibility
• Adding warnings or labels
• Restricting interactions or limiting messaging
• Suspending or permanently terminating accounts
• Removing restaurant permissions or revoking business verification
• Restricting promotional features or access to particular Services

We may take action when we reasonably believe there has been a violation of these Terms or our policies, fraud, abuse, a security risk, illegal activity, harm to users or others, or manipulation of the platform. We may also take preventative action where reasonably necessary to protect the Services.

29. Appeals

Where appropriate, Jigu Bites may provide users or businesses with an opportunity to appeal certain moderation decisions. Appeal procedures may vary depending on the type of decision. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee restoration of content or an account. Jigu Bites may establish additional appeal mechanisms as the Services develop.

30. Account Deactivation

You may deactivate your account where the relevant functionality is available. Deactivation is not necessarily permanent deletion. After deactivation, your active profile may become unavailable, your reviews may remain publicly available and may be presented in an anonymized manner, and certain information may remain where reasonably necessary for platform integrity, legal compliance, security, or other legitimate purposes.

31. Account Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your account. Upon deletion, Jigu Bites generally intends to remove associated account information and user content, subject to legal requirements, security requirements, fraud-prevention records, legitimate business records, technical limitations, backup retention, and disaster-recovery systems. Deleted information may temporarily remain in backups before those backups are overwritten according to the applicable retention cycle.

32. Data Export

Users may request a copy of eligible personal information associated with their account. Until a self-service export feature is introduced, requests may be submitted to: jigubites@gmail.com. We may require reasonable identity verification before fulfilling a request.

33. Service Availability

We aim to keep Jigu Bites available and reliable. However, we do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, always operate without interruption, always be error-free or secure, or always be compatible with every device. The Services may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical failures, network or infrastructure failures, security incidents, third-party service failures, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

34. Data Loss and Backups

Jigu Bites may maintain backups and disaster-recovery systems designed to reduce the risk of permanent data loss. However, backups cannot guarantee recovery of every piece of information following every possible incident. Events such as catastrophic infrastructure failure, cyberattacks, hardware failures, software errors, human error, natural disasters, or third-party failures may result in partial or complete data loss. Jigu Bites will make reasonable efforts to protect and recover data but does not guarantee that all data can always be recovered. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

35. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. Jigu Bites does not guarantee that restaurant information is always accurate, reviews are always genuine, user-generated content is always accurate, restaurants will honor every promotion, the Services will always be uninterrupted or error-free or secure, recommendations will always be suitable for you, or every restaurant will remain open or operate as listed.

Jigu Bites is a platform that facilitates discovery, communication, reviews, and interaction. We do not own or operate every restaurant listed on the platform. You are responsible for making your own decisions regarding restaurants, purchases, food, services, travel, and other activities based on information available to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

36. Food, Health, Allergies, and Safety

Restaurant information on Jigu Bites may include information about ingredients, menus, dietary options, allergens, food preparation, prices, and food quality. Such information may change and may not always be complete or accurate. If you have an allergy, medical condition, dietary restriction, or other safety concern, you should confirm relevant information directly with the restaurant before ordering or consuming food. Jigu Bites is not responsible for food preparation, food quality, contamination, allergic reactions, illness, injury, or other incidents arising from a restaurant's products or services, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

37. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jigu Bites and its founders, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of the Services. This may include losses arising from service interruptions, data loss, user-generated content, restaurant conduct or services, reliance on reviews, third-party services, unauthorized account access, technical failures, or security incidents. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law. Where applicable law imposes mandatory consumer protections or other rights, those rights remain unaffected.

38. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or applicable law, infringement of another person's rights, misuse of the Services, user content, or fraudulent or unauthorized activity. This provision does not apply to the extent that the relevant claim resulted from Jigu Bites' own unlawful conduct or from circumstances where applicable law prohibits such indemnification.

39. Changes to the Services

Jigu Bites may modify the Services over time, adding or removing features, changing functionality, modifying interfaces, changing ranking systems, introducing paid features, or changing technical infrastructure. Where appropriate, we may provide notice of material changes.

40. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time because of new features, business changes, legal requirements, security requirements, changes in technology or payment services, or international expansion. When changes are material, we may provide reasonable notice through the Services, email, or another appropriate method. Your continued use of Jigu Bites after the effective date of updated Terms may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

41. Termination

You may stop using Jigu Bites at any time. Jigu Bites may suspend or terminate your access where reasonably necessary because of violation of these Terms or our policies, fraud, abuse, security risks, illegal activity, repeated harmful behavior, circumvention of restrictions, or other conduct that threatens the Services or users. Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue. Certain provisions of these Terms may continue after termination where their nature requires continued effect.

42. No Waiver

If Jigu Bites does not immediately enforce a particular provision of these Terms, that does not mean that Jigu Bites permanently waives the right to enforce that provision later.

43. Severability

If a court or competent authority determines that a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. The invalid provision should be interpreted or replaced to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intended purpose where legally possible.

44. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the policies and agreements expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and Jigu Bites concerning your use of the Services, subject to applicable law. These documents include, where applicable:

45. Governing Law

Jigu Bites is initially operated in and from Nepal. To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms and your use of the Services will be governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes arising from or relating to the Services will initially be subject to the applicable courts and dispute-resolution mechanisms of Nepal, subject to any mandatory rights or protections provided by applicable law. If Jigu Bites expands into another jurisdiction, additional terms or jurisdiction-specific provisions may apply.

47. Acknowledgment

By creating an account or using Jigu Bites, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review these Terms and the related Jigu Bites policies. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Services.
